    I will be submitting something different - no sports cards!!
    The majority of these items come from
    Boston area newspapers from the years - '40-'45!!
    1940s very nice newspaper items - no tape, wrinkles etc.
    There were very few sports cards during the war years so these
    items may be of interest to some - not all.
    These are more than 70 plus years old!!
    This item shows Casey Stengel trying on his new cap - as
    the newly hired manager of the Milwaukee Brewers.
    This is not much bigger than a 1950s baseball card but
    very very rare.
    Also shown are Coach "Red" Smith and ex-manager Charlie Grimm
    The reverse shows a portion of the horses in the 1944 Kentucky Derby.
