Description
Presented is an antique, heavy, solid sterling silver punch or soup ladle made by John Pittar of Dublin, Ireland in 1758. This mid 18th century piece has an Onslow pattern handle and the bowl is done in a shell or ruffled form. This piece has never been monogrammed.The back is marked with the Hibernia symbol for sterling silver, the crowned harp symbol for the city of Dublin, a date letter K for the year 1758 and a maker's mark for John Pittar.
This piece is in great overall condition for its age. There is minor surface wear commensurate with age and use.
