Antique Gilt Sterling Silver Gorham Lancaster 1897 Sporks/Ice Cream Forks
Presented is a wonderful set of 6 sterling silver sporks or ice cream forks made by Gorham during the early 1900s. This set is in the Lancaster aka Lancaster Rose pattern, which was patented in 1897. The handles are beautifully decorated with a beaded edge and flower accents above an old, original monogram of the initials MLK. The bases have a fine gold wash.
The back of each fork is marked for Gorham, sterling silver purity and A. Stowell & Co for the retailer.
This set is in excellent overall condition. There is some wear to the gold wash on the high points but there are no damages and no repairs.
