    Description

    Presented is a wonderful quality, heavy weight sterling silver serving fork, probably an asparagus serving fork, made by Gorham Manufacturing Company. The serving fork is done in the New Empire pattern which was first produced in 1895. The fork is very well made and has exceptional weight. The handle is decorated with a garland of bell flowers framing the old monogram of HRP. The top of the tines is decorated with fancy scrolls and flourishes.
    The fork is marked on the reverse with Gorham’s old company hallmarks and Sterling.
    The condition is excellent. There are no dents, no splits, no breaks, and no repairs.
    The serving fork is 9 1/4 inches long.
    The weight is 113.1 grams or 3.9 ounces.
