Antique Sterling Silver Gorham Maryland 1896 Salad Serving Fork & Spoon Set

Presented is an antique, sterling silver fork and spoon serving set made by Gorham during the late 1800s or early 1900s. This set is in the Maryland pattern, which was patented in 1896. This set is old, original production. This is a good size serving set, most likely for salad but obviously they can be used to serve anything. The handles are decorated with ornate, sinuous shell, scroll and flower designs. The front of each handle has an old, original monogram of the letter K.
The back of each is hallmarked for Gorham, sterling silver purity and patent 1896.
This set is in excellent overall condition and the designs are crisp.

Spoon length: 8 5/8 inches.
