(considering the age and the type of paper!) pre-owned, collectible condition.
Interior relatively clean with a few smudges, paper is tanned but has held up pretty well for 50+ years.
Edges brittle, discolored with wear from
use with corners bent,
light soil and fading on front and back covers.

on original folds, spines show weakness.

Newspaper is from my collection which is a non-smoking, pet friendly environment.
Flaws are consistent with an item of this age.
