Newspaper Aug. 24, 1956 DESERT NEWS Salt Lake Telegram - great vintage item!

Description

Here is an old newspaper that was in with a box of travel mementos that have been living in an attic for decades.  A bit yellowed and has a slight musty smell, but otherwise in surprisingly good shape for an over 60 year old newspaper!  This is the Friday, August 24, 1956 issue of the Desert News: Salt Lake Telegram.  Total of 20 pages, numbered 1B through 20B.  Not sure what the B refers to, if there was a second section to this or if that was an afternoon edition.  Anyway, to me the most interesting thing are all of the movie ads, for what would have then been contemporary films, plus an article in the sports section where they interview hall of fame Pittsburgh Pirates player Ralph Kiner regarding the NY Yankees pitching staff!  Anyway, photos of the front above the fold, then the whole front, whole rear, and a shot of some of the movie ads.  Priced to sell, with only actual Media Mail postage charged to the winner!
